Can tumblr please give us the option to switch our layout back? This is actually really fucking with my eyes a lot. It feels really cluttered, and it’s like really overwhelming and painful to look at. Like my eyes are freaking out right now.
I know I’m not the only one who is having trouble.
There’s just way too much stuff cluttered in the middle on desktop. For people with sensory and/or visual processing issues, this is just.. REALLY painful.
maybe people would be more willing to spend money on this website and tumblr wouldn’t be in such financial trouble if @staff actually listened to what their userbase wanted instead of continuously rolling out unnecessary updates that only serve to clutter the dash with no way to change it back. if we wanted a website that looked like twitter, we would be on twitter. i get the push to try and make tumblr “easier” for new users, but how well is this site going to function when it’s doing its hardest to alienate and drive away their long-term userbase?
reblog if possible to see what everyone thinks more accurately. Let’s see WHAT folks like actually and feel free to explain your point of view in the tags if possible.
I HATE Tumblr’s new layout and on behalf of every other autistic person whose sense of normalcy and routine has been disrupted by this nonsense I hope the person(s) who came up with this idea get a rock in both shoes and wet socks for the rest of their week.
